Coming… soon?

Hey all, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve updated, so here’s a little scoop to keep you going:

I will be doing a website refresh sometime in February, and if you have any suggestions of things you’d like to see, please leave a comment! So far the updates will include:
– individual book pages (this will make the main book page much easier to navigate – less scrolling for everyone)
– a bookstore tab, with handy “where to buy” links for where to buy. If people are keen I will look into an option for adding Autographed Copies here for the upcoming print releases
– new merchandise. (if you have any requests for what you’d like to see offered on shirts or mugs, let me know!)
– new title bar (gotta represent the dazzling cover for book 3!)
– signing/appearance schedules

Thanks everyone! Hope to get these up and running in the next few weeks.

2011 – A Reflection

I’m sitting here, working on the fourth Secret McQueen novel, and thinking about what a whirlwind year 2011 has been. Last Christmas I had just begun edits on Something Secret This Way Comes, my first ever published book. I was still on Cloud 9 over being offered a contract with Samhain Publishing and just amazed by how much work goes into getting a book ready for publication.

This year, I’ve seen the release of not only one, but FOUR published titles. I went from being a casual writer to a serious, real-life author, who has to dedicate a huge chunk of time to daily writing, in addition to a full time day job. Speaking of day jobs, I lost mine of 10 years earlier this summer, and the Fates responded by getting me a new and significantly better one.

In 2011 I got to go to my first RT Convention, and got to meet dozens of amazing, brilliant people. I feel so blessed to be a part of the writing and book loving community. I feel like I’ve found a new family this year. From the amazing bloggers who are such a huge part of my success; to the other authors I’ve become priveledged to meet and get to know.

I can’t imagine a better year than 2011, but I’m hopeful to top it all in 2012. One of my resolutions is to write at least 3 full length novels in 2012, including Secret McQueen #4 and #5, as well as the first book in a new trilogy. And I’m sure there will be many more milestones.

Thank you everyone who has been a part of my amazing 2011, and I look forward to spending 2012 with you!

Holiday Release Day Giveaway (eh!)

Contest is now closed. Congrats to our winners Annette and Cathy. Jodi and I will be in touch.

To celebrate our joint release day birthday, the wonderful Jodi Redford and I have decided to hold a contest. It’s easy to participate. We’re each posting a question on our blogs, you just have to visit us both and then e-mail the answer to each question to me at: sierradeanbooks@gmail.com

My question:
Name one of Secret McQueen’s werewolf soul-mates

To find out Jodi’s question, visit her blog here: The Naughty and Secret Contest

We’ll be selecting 2 lucky winners from those who correctly answer both questions. And remember Do Not post answers in the comments section. Please email me!

Good luck! Contest is open until midnight Wednesday.
